aspire student housing 2.0

This 10 story, 130 unit (482 bed) student housing high-rise is located within the City of Tucson’s Main Gate Overlay District and is adjacent to the University of Arizona. JStudio is responsible for design of amenities including: streetscape, courtyard (over structure), pet area, and roof deck, and pool areas. JStudio is collaborating with The Dinerstein Companies, Gensler (Houston), and other team members through all phases of the project (SD, DD, CD, and CA).

hub iv student housing

This 6 story, 159 unite (488 bed), 10,000 sf retail mixed use mid-rise is located on Speedway Boulevard (a major arterial) and is located at the gateway of the Tucson’s Main Gate Overlay District. Unique aspects of this project include multiple retail tenants, a large outdoor retail courtyard, ground level town-home courtyards, and a Main Gate District entry monument. JStudio is teaming with Core, Antunovich Architects, Grenier Engineering, and Lazarus Silvyn & Bangs toward the design of amenities including: streetscape, courtyards (over structure), elevated planters, roof deck, and pool areas through all phases of work (SD, DD, CD, CA).

cochise Vista COMMERCIAL plaza

Located in the City of Benson, this 52+ acre proposed commercial development is intended to leverage its proximity and access to the soon to be master planned development of Villages at Vigneto (28,000 homes planned). JStudio was responsible for the conceptual layout and site planning for Cochise Vista Commercial Plaza which incorporates anchor retail smaller commercial pads, and and office complex along the growing commercial corridor of AZ State Route-90 south of Interstate-10.

gRACE lutheran church

Grace Lutheran Church is designed to include a variety of outdoor amenities including: outdoor amphitheater, meeting green, preschool play ground with artificial turf play berms, rainwater harvesting, courtyard hardscape, and general landscaping for enjoyment by the congregation, students, and visitors.

the bridges residential site plan

The 23.5 acre site is located at The Bridges Planned Area Development (PAD), and as such is one of the largest single infill development areas within the central metro Tucson area. This site is located adjacent to the University of Arizona’s Tech Park, The Bridges commercial development, and in close proximity to downtown and major entertainment and sports venues. The site concepts were developed to represent a relatively higher density (8.2 RAC) single family detached product that would be a new offering in the greater Tucson area.

sunset mesa

Sunset Mesa is a 11.9 acre single family development located in the northwest Tucson. The originally approved plat for this project (2010) was updated to capitalize on the changing housing market. Unique aspects of this project included meeting Pima County’s Hillside Development Zone (HDZ) requirements and preservation of riparian areas on site.

arizona sonora desert museum - solar kiosk

JStudio assisted Tucson Electric Power and the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum in designing a solar information kiosk interpreting the newly installed TEP solar array to the visiting public. Working closely with the museum’s staff, this project is design to be be tucked into the existing slope amid saguaros and trees creating a council ring concept which includes interpretation exhibits, seating, shade, and a solar charging kiosk.
